To comply
with federal regulations and Miami policies, research involving
human subjects requires that researchers be familiar with the
ethical issues common to such work. In addition to the required
online training, all human subjects research must be reviewed
and the methods approved for compliance with the standards of
ethical behavior.

When planning
your submissions to the Miami Research Ethics and Integrity
Office (MREI) IRB, please consider the annual variability in
application volume. Submissions in Feb-March and September-October
will be competing for board and MREI office time to a greater
extent than other months.
